Davenport announces "transition in leadership"

The city of Davenport announced another change in leadership Monday.

Long-time City Attorney Tom Warner will retire in January. That's according to a press release that said no further comments would be made.

In a press release Thursday, the city announced that Corri Spiegel would no longer serve as city administrator, starting early next year. The joint statement called it a "transition in leadership," but didn't specify why Spiegel was leaving the position.

Another release on Friday announced that Mallory Merritt would serve as the Interim City Administrator, starting immediately. Merritt was previously the assistant city administrator.
