John Deere Foundation.jpg

The John Deere Foundation wants to help feed people affected by the war in Ukraine.

Today it announced a $1 million donation to World Food Program USA.

Half of the grant will support the United Nations World Food Programme and its efforts to feed people in Ukraine. The other half will go to Innovation Accelerator, which supports high-impact innovations to reduce hunger.

This donation follows a recent $250,000 gift from Deere Foundation to World Food Program USA to support humanitarian relief in Ukraine, and a 2021 gift of $500,00 to aid the Innovation Accelerator.

In addition, Deere employee's have donated more than 88,6000 meals to fight global hunger using the "ShareTheMeal" app this year.
