Scott County Conservation Board Executive Director Roger Kean says the Buffalo Bill Cody Homestead is closed until further notice because of a staffing emergency.
The Scott County website states, "The boyhood home of Buffalo Bill Cody, government Scout and Wild West Showman, is located in the broad valley of the Wapsipinicon River. The 1847 farmhouse, entered in the National Registry of Historic Places, was built by Isaac Cody, Buffalo Bill's father, of native limestone and contains walnut floors and trim."
