Shayne Toporowski previously worked as head coach at Worcester State University for six seasons. He led the team to 58 wins, including 15 in the 2018-2019 season.

Prior to his coaching career, Toporowski played 18 seasons of professional hockey and ended his career with the Quad City Mallards.

"Wow, it's good to be back," he said. "I want to get the Storm to the standard that Quad Cities is used to, back in the heydays of the late 90s and early 2000s of 50 games win seasons and championship banners being raised."

The Storm returns to the Vibrant Arena in October.
