Boucher is currently the principal at Arrowhead Youth and Family Services. And before that, he served as superintendent for the Sherrard School District from 2015 to 2022, and superintendent of the Mercer County School District from 2006-2015.
He'll succeed Cal Lee who served as interim superintendent of the Rock Island schools in May and June. And he'd replaced Reginald Lawrence who was relieved by the Rock Island board in April.
The Rock Island School board says it will choose an interim superintentent for the second semester at a later date.
