Black Hawk College students may get a break if they want to continue studying at a four-year college.

St. Ambrose University is offering students transferring from Black Hawk up to twenty thousand dollars.
Toby Arquette is St. Ambrose Vice President for Marketing and Communications.

“We are trying to address the bigger public conversation about, ‘Is College affordable?’ Particularly for those who feel like they just can’t complete a college education, because it’s just too expensive.”

Arquette says there is no limit to the number of scholarship awards available, and they are renewable.
The Black Hawk College Scholarship is the first of many scholarships that St. Ambrose is hoping to offer. Arquette called it a ‘pilot.’
He won't verify the total cost of enrollment, and says that it varies too much, but encouraged those interested in transferring to contact the Transfer Admissions Director.
