Behind the Scenes of the Bix 7 Race Entertainment Committee

Join host Marc Zyla on this episode of "What's Happenin' QC" as he sits down with special guest Chris Nelson from Davenport, co-chair of the entertainment committee for the Quad City Times Bix 7 race. Chris gives listeners an inside look at the various musical acts and performers lined up for the race, including the Quad City Ukulele Group, a polka band, jazz and rock bands, drum lines, and more. He also shares his personal journey with the Bix 7 race, from starting out as a volunteer to now overseeing the entertainment aspects of the event.

Chris opens up about his own running journey, from running casual races to taking on the challenge of training for an Ironman triathlon. He discusses the intense training regimen required for such an event and the support he has received from the running community in the Quad Cities. Chris also touches on his musical pursuits and upcoming concert season, balancing his love for music with his passion for running and staying active.
