Argrow’s House and Autistic and Loved held a launch party on Wednesday, December 4.
Dr. Kit Evans Ford, the founder and director of Argrow’s House and Autistic and Loved, says these places help build community. “At this point in my life, I really feel like we’re stronger together and I just hope that, even when I’m no longer here, that this place is a communal space for healing and hope."
Argrow’s House of Hope and Healing is a safe space for survivors of domestic violence. The nonprofit employs survivors and offers support groups, food programs, and a residence for women and children survivors to live rent-free. Argrow's House sells bath and body products made by survivors.
Autistic and Loved is a place where children with autism can be themselves, providing any resources they might need. The organization began as a sensory jewelry line. It has since evolved into a sensory gym, greenhouse, chilling/calm room, and gift shop.
Both places are at 3811 Harrison Street in Davenport, Suites 100 and 200.
