$105,000 was awarded to Augustana College for “Vocation Across the Academy” from the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education, or NetVUE. The program that will be put into place is called the Business Education Steeped in the Liberal Arts (BESLA).
This scholarship will help implement an enriching program for business administration students. This program will take enrollments in fall of the 2025-2026 school year. This program will be put in place for students to reflect on their vocational goals, contribute to the common good post-graduation, and career enhancement.
Nearly 20% of Augustana’s students major in business administration. 20 to 30 of Augustana’s business administration majors will be able to enroll next fall. This program is based in the liberal arts education, giving students a broadened study opportunity.
Since Augustana joined the NetVUE BESLA program, they are committed to raising $35,000 to go back toward the program.
