United Way Quad Cities is welcoming Daniel Sheridan as its new Sr. Vice President of Community Impact. He will be bringing almost twenty years of leadership experience to the role, having served formerly at Davenport Junior Theatre, where he directed youth art programs.
Sheridan will play a crucial part in setting the non-profit’s strategic direction regarding the community-impact work they do. Numerous initiatives—such as United for Schools, free tax preparation through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, and Read United—all will now be under his supervision, including the coordination of grant-making processes.
United Way also has actively been working to achieve the goals of its Rise United 2030 initiative. Sheridan will come on to further the organization’s efforts with it, all of which are mainly geared toward bettering education, improving financial security, and continuing promising health outcomes for independent individuals and families across the Quad Cities.
In a news release, Sheridan said of the development, “I’m excited to join United Way Quad Cities and lead efforts that will make a lasting difference in our community.”
