Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins talks to the county board

Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins says the auditor's office has processed 7,191 absentee ballot request forms as of Friday, Sept. 27th.

Tompkins says over 130,000 residents are registered to vote.

WVIK asked Auditor Tompkins about outside groups sending residents absentee ballot forms. She says the Scott County Auditor's office does not send out forms without the resident requesting one. However, that doesn't mean residents who sent in a form from an outside group won't receive their absentee ballot as long as the information provided is correct.
