Today, Wednesday, September 25, the Progressive Action for the Common Good is hosting a free movie screening of Common Ground, a film about regenerative agriculture. The event will be at the Rogalski Center at St. Ambrose at 518 W Locust St, Davenport, IA starting at 6:30 p.m.
The film is about the challenges of the current food system and how outside factors impact agriculture. After the movie, three local farmers will talk about their experiences using regenerative farming strategies.
Monte Bottoms is a fifth-generation farmer who received the Nutrient Management Practitioner Award in 2012. Robb Ewoldt has used regenerative farming for 13 years and received the Wergin Good Farm Neighbor award, the Iowa Farm Environmental Leader award, and the River Action's Eddy Award. Ann Wolf is executive director of Iowa Heartland Resource Conservation and Development and co-director of Midwest Healthy Ag, a division of Regeneration International.
