The Kiwanis Club of Moline is restarting its annual trivia night fundraiser after a pause caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Cathie Rochau is the club's publicity chair. She says the previous fundraiser raised more than $2,500.

"Primarily, we like to benefit youth and youth-based activities. So with every penny we make, we will just turn that right back around and support the youth in our community," Rochau said in a phone interview with WVIK.

Some of the previous partnerships include YouthHope, the Salvation Army, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley.

The fundraiser is at City View Celebrations, 701 12th Street, Moline, Illinois. Doors open at 6 p.m., and trivia starts at 7 p.m. Participants can join teams of up to 8 people. The cost to participate is $20, which includes pizza, snacks, and other treats.

Attendees can enter to win multiple raffle baskets, including two tickets to a Cubs game against the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, Sept. 28th.

"So that's pretty exciting. So somebody at that trivia night will be the lucky winner of those, plus a lot of other fun raffle baskets that we just hope will increase the funds that we receive to do good in the community," Rochau said.

Each team will receive a page-doubling sticker and one mulligan per round. There will be eight rounds, each with ten questions. A cash bar is on-site, and no outside food and drink is allowed.
