The town of Geneseo, Illinois, is offering days of activities for residents to celebrate its 18th annual Trains, Planes and Automobiles Festival from Thursday, Sept. 5th, to Saturday, Sept. 7th.

On Sept. 5th, the Stearman Fly-In will be held at Gen-Airpark from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., located on Route Six, east of Geneseo. The organizers advise leaving pets at home because of the air show noise.

On Sept. 6th, the festival is conducting tours of the Hennepin Canal at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m., with reservations required and a cost of $25 per person. Folks can call the Geneseo Chamber at 309-944-2686.

Food trucks and live music by Soul Cage will be at 101 South Chicago Street on Friday (Sept. 6th) night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 7th, downtown Geneseo will host a classic car show, train display, and airplane display. Live music will be played during the day, and speakers will be available at the Geneseo Historical Museum.
