John Deere has released a phone app that tracks your lawn mower like a FitBit tracks your steps. MowerPlus is free for iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android users and tracks mowing metrics, gives a summary of mowing sessions, and offers advice on maintenance for different types of mowers.
MowerPlus will give an ariel view of a path that was mowed and show stats like average speed and area covered.
Depending on how long the mower has been in use, the app also will explain step-by-step maintenance instructions for specific models or give the contact information for a local John Deere dealer.
