Police are investigating a threat against Moline High School, that mentions a shooting on January 22nd.
In a letter to parents, Superintendent Lanty McGuire reports the anonymous threat, written in pencil, was found recently in a bathroom stall. But so far, police have concluded the threat is NOT credible.
As he says, quote, "most threatening communications of this type are intended to frighten, harass, annoy, and intimidate, rather than to announce imminent violence. Motives typically include disruption, personal entertainment, or achieving notoriety."
McGuire says Moline High School will be open next Friday, but extra police will be on hand, just in case.
