As the coronavirus spread across the US in March, airline travel began to fall off sharply. And at the Quad City Airport, passenger traffic dropped 46 per cent compared to the same month a year ago.
That's a drop from 66,000 in 2019, to less than 36,000 last month.
The number of people boarding planes fell from 41 to 59 per cent for the four major airlines serving the airport - Allegiant, United, American, and Delta.
