Scott County is asking for more volunteers to help people and businesses recover from the flood.
Dave Donovan, Director of Emergency Management, says volunteers are needed to do manual labor, such as hauling sandbags and shoveling mud, or less demanding work, such as answering the phone.
Scott County has been declared a federal disaster area, and FEMA officials will begin helping people and businesses on Tuesday at the Flood Donation Center in Davenport.
It's located in the former Office Max store near North Park Mall.
Call the Emergency Management Agency volunteer hotline to register as a volunteer, and to request help. The number is 563.484.3086.
For Davenport, go to the city's website to sign up as a volunteer. In addition, a special X-Stream Cleanup will be held for flood recovery on Saturday, June 8th.
