New Leader for Family Resources

Family Resources

Family Resources has a new leaders. On Monday Mary Macumber Schmidt became president after serving as vice president for 7 years.

She's worked for the agency for nearly 20 in all.
Schmidt takes over from Cheryl Goodwin who served as president since 2008. She worked for Family Resources for a total of 27 years.
Based in Davenport, Family Resources sponsors about 30 programs in eastern Iowa and western Illinois - including mental health, residential treatment, sexual assault and domestic violence, a domestic violence shelter, and adoption.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
