"WhereUVote" App Available for Scott, Clinton Counties
Municipal elections in Iowa are one day away, and the "WhereUVote" mobile app is here to help. The app assists voters in finding their polling locations and can also provide sample ballots to look over before going to the polls.
Both Clinton and Scott County have their own "WhereUVote" apps for Apple and Android devices available in their app stores.
Evil Twin Software in Cedar Rapids created the app, and Clinton County pays a $1,000 annual fee to use it. Clinton County Auditor Eric Van Lancker says it is a worthwhile investment.
"It allows a voter in Clinton County to pull up the app on a mobile device or a tablet, and they can type in their address and then the app will show them where their polling place is on election day."
Clinton County has been using the app for a couple of years, but it's new this year for Scott County.
Polls will be open for Tuesday's municipal and school board elections in Iowa from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
