Spring Snowmelt Flooding Continues on the Mississippi

Flood Warnings continue for the Mississippi River in Dubuque and downstream at Burlington and Gladstone.

Moderage flooding is forecast in Dubuque. At the railroad bridge near the River Walk, the Mississippi is about half-a-foot below flood stage and should reach flood stage Tuesday afternoon. It's expected to crest 3.8 feet above flood stage Sunday night.

Minor flooding is forecast in Burlington where the river is almost at flood stage. The weather service expects it to rise above flood stage Tuesday morning, then go up another foot by Sunday night.

In the Quad Cities, the Mississippi is more than half-a-foot below flood stage and should reach it by Wednesday night.
