A special mailbox has been set up outside of the Moline Public Works Building for letters addressed to Santa. Letters can be dropped off through the end of the month, with individual replies for each, in early December.

Stacy Laake, from the Parks and Recreation Department, says there's no age limit for sending a letter, but be sure to include a return address.

"It can be anybody who wants to write a letter to Santa, you don't have to live in Moline, you can live anywhere in the Quad Cities. Or if you have grandkids or nieces or nephews visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday, we'll send a letter back to anybody."

She says letters can be sent to Santa through November 30th, and replies will start going out December 5th.

This is the first year, the parks department has accepted letters for Santa.

The Moline Public Works building is located at 3635 4th Avenue.

After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
