Major General David Wilson

At a change of command ceremony Tuesday morning, Major General David Wilson will become commanding general, and replace Major General Chris Mohan.

Wilson, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, most recently served as the commanding general of 8th Theater Sustainment Command, and is a graduate of The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina.

As the commanding general of ASC, Wilson will be responsible for providing soldiers with ammunition, equipment, food, uniforms, and anything else they need for the battlefield or to respond to natural disasters.

Mohan's next assignment has not been determined.

The ceremony begins Tuesday at 10 am, and presiding will be the commanding general of the Army Materiel Command, General Ed Daly.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
