Illinois State Dental Society Offering Free Services For Veterans

The 6,000 plus dentists of the Illinois State Dental Society are offering veterans free dental services at participating dental offices this month.

The no-cost services are a part of the Illinois Dentists Salute program. Illinois veterans can receive dental treatment throughout the month of November. This is the second year for the initiative. The services for the first event were limited to dental cleanings, simple extractions and fillings. Pam Cuffle is government relations assistant with the Illinois State Dental Society. She says the list has expanded.

“We have some oral surgery offices that want to do a full mouth restoration, a full smile reconstruction," Cuffle said.  "We have offices that will offer cleanings and simple fillings so it’s really up to the provider.”

Veterans should call the provider to find out the services are available.
