Bill Brady Campaigns in the QC

When voters go to the polls next week for the Illinois primary, they should choose the "reliable republican" in the four-person race for governor. That was the message today from state senator Bill Brady when he brought his campaign to the Quad Cities.

Brady says he's always been reliable when it comes to the key issues of abortion, gun rights, taxes, and job creation.

"I'm the only candidate with a 100 % lifetime voting record on these issues. We need candidates like that, embracing the principles of the Republican Party for the people of Illinois, to move our state forward."

And if chosen by his party next week, and elected governor in the fall, Brady says he will make sure the "temporary" income tax increase that's due to expire this year, is NOT renewed.

"Unfortunately my three republican opponents won't commit to providing the tax relief that the taxpayers need - to put more money in their pockets, to rebuild our economy, and bring jobs back to Illinois. I have said unequivocally that Bill Brady will cut taxes and wants to work to elminate the personal income tax in the long-term."

And he promises to eliminate the state board of education in Illinois, to boost local control of schools.

Brady's stop in Moline today at the headquarters of the Rock Island County republicans is part of a tour of the whole state this week, leading up to the primary next week, on March 18th.
