I'm currently a Junior at Augustana College, working on a major in Multimedia Journalism and Mass Communication. In addition to interning at the station, I also work for the Augustana Observer, the college's official student newspaper, as the Arts and Entertainment Editor. 

This is my first internship through the MJMC program, and I'm excited to write, report, interview sources, and produce stories.

Once out of school, I want to pursue a career in radio broadcast.

Davenport Fire Department

Davenport firefighters have a new tool for finding fires in the Quad Cities. The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, an affiliate of Firehouse Subs restaurants, has awarded a 25,000 dollar grant to the department that will pay for three new thermal imaging cameras.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker defended his newly proposed graduated income tax plan during a visit to the Quad Cities today. 

Moline-Coal Valley School District

Moline High School students now have a bigger stage and better space for the performing arts. This afternoon, the school hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the Bartlett Performing Arts Center.

Augustana College

Augustana College will send six students to Boston this weekend, to compete in the NCAA Division Three Indoor Track and Field Championships. Senior Michael Johnson has the 7th fastest time in the 60 meter dash, while Junior Katie Eastburn has the 7th fastest time in both the 200 and 400 meter dash.

National Weather Service

The Quad Cities had a record setting winter this year, according to statistics from the National Weather Service for December through February. 

St. Ambrose University

St. Ambrose University has hired a new Director of Athletics. Mike Holmes is currently the Athletic Director at a private catholic university in Steubenville, Ohio. Now, the native Iowan is coming home in July to take the helm of athletic programs at St. Ambrose.


Western Illinois University is bringing new opportunities to the Quad Cities campus.  Today (Thu), officials announced new undergraduate and online programs.

Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities

Two nonprofits are coming together to do more for housing in the Quad Cities. As of February 4th, Rebuilding Together Quad Cities will become a part of the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
