Leisure travelers may be the reason traffic at the Quad City International Airport continues to recover. After dropping to just 2,700 total passengers in April, it's increased steadily, and reached 22,000 in July.

2018 could be called a "comeback year" for the Quad City Airport. Thanks in part to a strong December, passenger traffic rose 6 per cent after several years of declines.

Traffic dropped 10 per cent at the Quad City Airport in June, continuing a trend that began in January. All four airlines carried fewer people last month, and only one reports a small increase since the beginning of the year.
