The Quad Cities River Bandits have a new leader.

After four seasons as the President of the Grand Junction Rockies, Joe Kubly is the new River Bandits General Manager.

Kubly previously worked as the Director of Sales and Ticketing for the River Bandits during 2014 and 2015. As President of the Grand Junction Rockies, he was named the Pioneer League's Executive of the Year after the 2018 season.

River Bandits Owner Dave Heller says Kubly "did a phenomenal job turning around the Grand Junction team" and he is excited to "have him take us to the next level."

Kubly is a native of Forreston, Illinois and received a Masters in Sports Management from Northern Illinois University. In the past, he has also worked for the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA, as well as the Oklahoma City Dodgers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

His first day on the job will be October 17th.
