WVIK reaches 45,000 monthly listeners (and growing) in the Quad Cities and in the surrounding 20 counties in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois in a 75-mile listening area.
WVIK is in an important community asset that regularly collaborates with other area nonprofit organizations — such as Quad City Arts, Genesius Guild, the Quad City Symphony, River Action, Nahant Marsh, WQPT, River Music Experience, the Putnam Museum and the Figge Art Museum — to make the most of limited marketing and programming budgets. By combining resources, each organization can better fulfill its individual mission. It also helps WVIK fulfill its mission of creating “value by enhancing public life and promoting community dialog by engaging its audience through cultural, educational, news and music programming."
WVIK Quad Cities NPR is proud of the work it does, connecting people with their communities. WVIK is the only Quad Cities radio station with a news department.
