Dozens of Iowa residents who are out of state or overseas will participate in Iowa's democratic caucus. The state's democratic party says 90 people signed up for the new "Tele-Caucus" service.
Press Secretary, Josh Levitt, says staff members are currently verifying whether those who registered are Iowa residents, registered voters and registered as democrats. Many who signed up members of the military.
Others include Iowans who are out of state and students spending time overseas.

The tele-caucus participants will only select two state delegates, but it's the first time we've tried this. We'll see how it goes, evaluate the process, and then start planning again.

Iowa will have a total of 1,406 delegates. Levitt says the tele-caucus will take place at the same time, and will be run the same way as a regular caucus on February 1st.
