Winter Weather Late Tuesday & Wednesday: UPDATED with Snowfall Amounts

The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities' forecast for snow was fairly accurate.

The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities says a tiny town in Bureau County got the most snow on Tuesday and Wednesday. Five inches fell in Milo, about 20 miles east of Kewanee. Four inches fell in Carthage. Princeton, Illinois and parts of Scott County got three inches.

The weather service office in Davenport got 2.7 inches of snow, while 2.5 inches fell at the Quad Cities Airport. And Dubuque got 0.7 inch.

Those totals do not include snowfall after Wednesday at noon.

Otherwise, forecasters predict dry and chilly conditions today. Here's the outlook for the Quad Cities:

Today - Mostly cloudy. High 36. Southwest wind 5 mph becoming southeast in this afternoon.
Tonight - A 90% chance of snow. Low 28. Southeast wind 5 mph becoming northeast. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Wednesday - Snow. High 33. Northeast wind 10 mph becoming northwest. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
Wednesday Night - A 30 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 25.
Thursday - Cloudy, with a high near 29.

And for Dubuque:

Today - Partly sunny, with a high of 33. Southwest wind 5 mph.
Tonight - A 30 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low of 25. Calm wind becoming northeast.
Wednesday - A 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 32.
Wednesday Night - A 30 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low of 24.
Thursday - Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28.
