Michael Kim is looking forward to defending his title at the John Deere Classic in July. This morning at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, last year's champion talked with reporters more than one month before the PGA Tour tournament.

Last year, Kim finished with an eight-stroke lead, setting a tournament record at 27-under par.

After flying to the United Kingdom for the British Open, he was practicing on the front nine, playing with Zach Johnson and Ryan Moore. Someone said, "Look, you've got three John Deere Classic champions playing together." That's when it really hit Kim that he won the tournament and had become a champion.

He recently changed swing coaches and is looking forward to the second half of the season.

Tournament Chairman, Sean McGuire, says volunteers are still needed to help make the John Deere Classic a success.

And Tournament Director, Clair Peterson, has three more sponsor exemptions to offer. Ho Sung Choi from South Korea accepted an invitation last month.

Information about tickets and volunteering is available at JohnDeereClassic.com.

Kim say his bobblehead has all the right details.
