Mental health counselors and other providers are ready to help people cope with the coronavirus pandemic.
Lori Elam, the Director of Scott County Community Services, says each person is different and deals with stress, anger, and fear in their own ways.
"It's okay to ask for help, and services are available via phone, online, and mobile apps, such as snapchat.
For people currently living in group homes, Elam says it's very difficult to stay inside all the time.
All activities outside the homes have been cancelled.
Only one person can take a walk at a time, and a staff member has to accompany them, six feet apart of course.
Elam commends the employees for finding creative ways to keep group home residents busy. For example, many are learning new arts and crafts.
