Oakdale Memorial Gardens

The burial site of legendary jazz musician Bix Beiderbecke, the inventor of the submarine periscope, and the founder of Dairy Queen, is gaining national attention. Last spring, Oakdale Memorial Gardens in Davenport was added to the National Register of Historic Places. And now, Manager Deb Williams is working to make it a historic site and national landmark.
