After severe lead contamination, a small wetland in southwest Davenport was declared a Superfund site by the US EPA. But 15 years ago, Nahant Marsh became the first Superfund site in EPA history clean enough to become a nature preserve and education center.

On its 15th anniversary, Sarah Ritter takes a look at the history of one of Iowa's few remaining wetlands.

The Nahant Marsh Education Center is celebrating its 15th anniversary Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm, with live music, food, and tours.
