Jim Snider, County Administrator, says it's the largest company in the US that handles the sale of nursing homes.

And Champaign County officials were happy with its services when finding a buyer for their county-owned home.

The asking price will be $19 million.

Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline opened ten years ago. Taxpayers spent $24 million to build the 245-bed nursing home which replaced Oak Glen in Coal Valley.

Snider hopes Marcus and Millichap find a buyer within three months.

The Rock Island County Board is also set to vote on whether to tax the sale of recreational marijuana when it becomes legal in Illinois in January. Snider says the proposed sales tax for stores located in unincorporated parts of the county is 3.75%.
