A busy intersection in Rock Island will be under construction for more than two months. Work is scheduled to start Wednesday at 18th Avenue and 38th Street, and not be completed until the end of July.
The public works department says the project will include re-surfacing the roadway, sidewalks, and drive-ways, plus the addition of new signals.
Traffic will be allowed to go through the intersection during the work, but motorists are advised to expect delays, and if possible use alternate routes.
