To allow for social distancing for students and their families, Augustana College will hold three separate graduation ceremonies this weekend at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline.
On Sunday at 10 am, the college will hold commencement for the class of 2020 to make up for last year when it had to hold a virtual ceremony because of the pandemic to honor the 600 graduates.
Then in the afternoon on Sunday, Augustana will honor this year's seniors in two groups - at 1:30 for those with last names beginning with A through L. And at 5 pm for last names M through Z.
All three ceremonies will be livestreamed and available on YouTube, and should last about 90 minutes. Everyone attending will be required to wear a mask and maintain social distance.
This year's Baccalaureate will be virtual, beginning at 10 am Saturday on the college’s YouTube channel.
