More than 70 vendors from across the country are celebrating Deere and Company's history in the Quad Cities this week. The bi-annual Gathering of the Green displays antique tractors and memorabilia and holds a series of workshops.
Ken Reese is one of the volunteers who organized this weekend's conference in Davenport. He says it's an "effort to preserve the past."
In 2014, around 2,400 people attended the Gathering of the Green. This year, Reese says people are coming from at least 40 states, Canada, and England.
The conference this weekend will also feature workshops on topics such as combines, hay equipment, and bee keeping.
