A show this weekend will feature two stars: a Quad City Arts Visiting Artist and the stories she tells through drama, speech, and song. Maggie Brown has spent the last couple of weeks performing at schools and senior centers, presenting her one-woman show, "Legacy: Our Wealth of Music."

Brown's father, the late Oscar Brown Jr., influenced her from the time she was born. He was a well-known composer and jazz musician. But she's learned from others, too.
She calls her show "edutainment." "Legacy: Our Wealth of Music" takes audiences from the beginnings of African American music all the way to hip hop.

Maggie Brown's public performance will be held on Saturday night at 7:00 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bettendorf.
