The National Weather Service Drought Monitor says the Quad Cities area is "abnormally dry" to in a state of "moderate drought."

Here's the description from the web page for the Midwest: "Moderate Drought (D1) - Some damage to crops, pastures; fire risk high; streams, reservoirs, or wells low, some water shortages developing or imminent, voluntary water use restrictions requested."
