  • More details are now knownabout an early Sunday morning shooting involving two Davenport police officers. The Scott County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Matthew Tobin was killed in the shooting, which occurred after officers responded about 5 a.m. Sunday to a burglary report.

  • People looking for work now have one place to go for job and unemployment services. Yesterday in Rock Island, the Illinois Department of Employment Security held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new American Job Center.

  • Iowa farmers are wrapping up the 2017 harvest with a record production of soybeans and a corn harvest in the top five of all time. But that'snot all good news.

  • Several more holiday meals will be held in the Quad Cities this week. Friendly House in Davenport will host its annual community Thanksgiving meal Tuesday at noon. On Thanksgiving Day, a group called PUNCH, People Uniting Neighbors and Churches, will host its 6th annual free Thanksgiving Dinner at First Baptist Church in Davenport, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Christian Care will serve holiday meals at its headquarters in Rock Island, from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Bob Vogelbaugh will hold his 47th annual community dinner at South Park Mall in Moline, from 4 until 6 p.m.
