Galesburg's City Engineer says so far, test results for lead in the water show the city is in compliance with federal standards. Wayne Carl, who's also the public works director, says results from 50 of the 60 samples have been returned. And two of the homes had higher levels of lead than allowed under EPA rules.
He should receive the results from last ten samples by tomorrow afternoon.
