With just hours to go until election day, top candidates in Illinois are making one final push for votes. Illinois Democratic Governor Pat Quinn and Republican challenger, Bruce Rauner, both led rallies in the Quad Cities today, and across the state.

At a rally in Moline, Rauner made fun of a Quinn commercial where the governor says "you know me."

Rauner was accompanied by his family, several local and statewide candidates, and former governor Jim Edgar.

Quinn told a rally of local democrats at the Quad City Airport his goal has always been to work for a strong economy, and jobs.

Backing him during his fly-around today were several union leaders and US Senator Dick Durbin.

And both Quinn and Rauner stressed the importance of turnout tomorrow to help them win the election.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
