Augustana Entrepreneurs Don't Need a Business Degree

Augustana College

Augustana students can learn how to start their own company without a business degree. This spring, the college will begin offering an Entrepreneurship Certificate Program.
Assistant professor Gregory Tapis, from the Business Department, says students from all majors can earn the certificate. It requires four business classes and a hands-on learning experience.
One of the main differences between the certificate and a business degree is that all students must complete an internship or a business plan. And, some of the required classes are Accounting, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship.

Tapis says some students have already started working to earn the new Entrepreneurship Certificate.
