The state of Iowa will help three local residents transform their start-up company, with a "bright idea," into a going concern. Friday the board of the Iowa Economic Development Authority approved a request for 25,000 dollars from Optimum Fleet Health, in Davenport.
Chief Operating Officer, Brandon Lovested, says their software can help truck and bus companies save money on maintenance, and improve safety.
In technical terms, Optimum Fleet Health "provides a subscriber based analytical service that delivers predictive maintenance reports." And that'll include information about the engine, brakes, transmission, and other systems.
Lovested says the company continues to upgrade its software and could be ready for customers by this summer.
