A Davenport man has begun a two-week bike ride in the Rocky Mountains to raise money for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, or NAMI. Jim Davis, a retired chiropractor and avid rider, is following the Colorado Trail, from near Denver to Durango.
Davis says NAMI of the Greater Mississippi Valley will raffle off his mountain bike in September.

Davis had a family member who was bi-polar, and used to treat patients from NAMI.
The trail between Denver and Durango is about 500 miles long - he started on Saturday and expects to finish his ride by July 24th. He's riding alone, and carrying his own camping gear.
