More than 100 jobs will be created soon in Monmouth. Today, Cloverleaf Cold Storage held tours to show off its new distribution center.
Adam Feiges, part-owner of Cloverleaf, says the new facility will distribute 700 million pounds of pork products for Farmland and Smithfield Foods. And, employ 150 people.
Cloverleaf operates distribution centers from Minnesota to the East Coast. He says the 30 million dollar facility in Monmouth is its 16th location, and the first in Illinois.
Feiges says it's 250,000 square feet, next to Farmland Foods and near Highway 67.
Cloverleaf Cold Storage will hold a job fair on Saturday at the Armory in Monmouth.
