Dubuque is taking up a challenge from President Obama to help at-risk young people. It's one of 100 cities nation-wide to participate in the "My Brother's Keeper" Community Challenge.
Dubuque Human Rights Director, Kelly Larson says the president issued the challenge last fall. And, the goal is to help at-risk young people meet their full potential.
The city put together a networking group to discuss how to meet the goals. Larson says the first step is finding the local organizations that work with these young people, and figure out how to connect their services.
