Riding the Rails in Russia

When a publishing agent asked Morning Edition's David Greene to consider writing a book, the cohost and correspondent had no idea it would lead to his second trip on Russia's Trans-Siberian Railway. While he was NPR's Moscow bureau chief, Greene took to the rails with his wife, and produced a series of stories for the network. But the second time around, he took a good friend to help translate and no audio equipment. 

On today's WVIK News Focus, a talk with David Greene about the trip and his new book, Midnight in Siberia.
